Global Health & Human Rights Faculty Attend the IUSSP International Population Conference in Korea

XXVII IUSSP International Population Conference is being held this month in Busan, Korea. With the aim of supporting the scientific study of population structures and dynamics, the Conference includes the discussion of over 2000 scientific papers covering reproductive health, migration, longevity and health, population and aging, and many more diverse issues. Professors Gruskin and Ferguson were invited to the conference this year as representatives of the University of Southern California and the Program on Global Health and Human Rights. In addition to a range of side meetings, Professor Gruskin convened the ‘Population policies and human rights’ conference track, and Professor Ferguson made a presentation based on her recent work in Kenya entitled ‘Immediate lifelong highly active antiretroviral therapy for all pregnant women with HIV: The counseling conundrum’.
