New WHO guidance launched to ensure human rights in provision of contraceptive information, services

This month at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, the World Health Organization is launching new guidance and recommendations for health providers and policy makers on how health programs can ensure that human rights are respected, protected and fulfilled in the provision of contraceptive information and services. Professor Sofia Gruskin has served as the key academic partner in the development of the guidance, which provides guidance for policy-makers, providers, managers, and other stakeholders in the health sector on priority actions to ensure human rights are systematically integrated into the provision of contraceptive information and services.
