The Program on Global Health & Human Rights was awarded a grant by the United Nations Development Programme this month to carry out the mid-term review of the project “Strengthening Regional and National Legislative Environments to Support the Enjoyment of Human Rights of LGBT People and Women and Girls Affected by HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.” The project, being implemented in 18 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, aims to reduce the HIV-related vulnerability of LGBT people and women and girls by helping ensure their legal rights are realized and stigma and discrimination addressed.
