New report targets discrimination, violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity

This month the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights issued a new report to the UN Human Rights Council on discrimination and violence against individuals based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. The report presents a breadth of evidence on the continuing abuse, violence, harassment, and discrimination facing LGBT populations and intersex persons across the world. It is the second of its kind in focusing on sexual orientation and gender identity in the history of the United Nations. Read the report »
