Through a longstanding relationship with Vietnam, Program on Global Health & Human Rights Director Sofia Gruskin began a new project in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
She will advise Vietnam’s population law to ensure it covers key human rights issues in conformity with Vietnam’s ratified international treaties and national legal system. Through this project, funded and coordinated by UNFPA, Professor Gruskin and GHHR will review successive drafts of the law, draft a policy paper and participate in in-country discussions of the law.
