This month the USC Program on Global Health & Human Rights commenced a new partnership with UNAIDS to develop a toolkit intended for national, district and institutional health managers as well as care providers focused on elimination of HIV-related stigma and discrimination in health care settings.
The program will assist in mapping existing good practices, tools and projects aimed at eliminating stigma and discrimination in healthcare, and ultimately contribute to the overall understanding of the forms, effects and causes of stigma and discrimination in health care settings in order to help identify and establish effective accountability mechanisms moving forward.
