In July the Program on Global Health & Human Rights presented a poster at the 2015 International Aids Society Conference in Vancouver, Canada. The poster, which focused on assessing changes in HIV-related legal and policy environments in Sub-Saharan Africa, reflected the findings of the program’s mid-term evaluation of the Sida-supported project “Strengthening Regional and National Legislative Environments to Support the Human Rights of LGBT People and Women and Girls affected by HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.”
The poster included project’s background and methodology used to support the evaluation of 10 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, the capacity to understand and address weaknesses in national legal and policy environments and how positive changes can be fostered.
