New project uses human rights to strengthen family planning programs

Posted on

This month the Program on Global Health & Human Rights commenced a new project with the World Health Organization focused on the human rights aspects of monitoring, evaluation and accountability for family planning programs at the country, regional and global levels. In working to address the unmet need for family planning and contraception, GHHR will work with the WHO, the standard and norm-setting health body in the United Nations system, to help develop clear human rights related guidelines for work in the field of family planning and contraception and ultimately help strengthen policy and health system level responses.
