Professor Gruskin lectures on the right to health at UC Berkeley

This month Professor Sofia Gruskin delivered the opening lecture for the graduate-level health and human rights course offered through UC Berkeley‘s schools of law and public health. The talk, “Health and Human Rights: Concepts, Methods, Challenges and Opportunities,” focused on the right to health, bringing ethics and rights together for health, what a rights-based approach can offer and human rights-related indicators for health. At the conclusion of the lecture students discussed practical considerations and some longer-term issues improve the ideas, methods and interventions necessary to realize the right to health for all human beings.
