Rights-based evaluation examines implications of Indonesia legal aid group

Professors Sofia Gruskin and Laura Ferguson traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia, for a Program on Global Health & Human Rights project with Open Society Foundation and partner organization Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Masyarakat, a legal aid institute in October.

During their weeklong visit they worked with LBHM to begin examining the health implications of its work and conduct a rights-based evaluation to help other organizations learn from the group’s experiences. Together GHHR and LBHM developed a strong working relationship and plan of action for the project.

GHHR’s team plans to visit LBHM again this spring once data collection is completed to assist in analysis and determination of further work.
