In October Professor Sofia Gruskin traveled to Geneva, Switzerland, to attend a WHO meeting on equity, human rights, gender and social determinants of health.
As part of WHO’s efforts to further its mandate of mainstreaming these issues, Professor Gruskin and external experts are working to develop an overarching integrated framework. With GHHR Legal Fellow Ian Henry, she has prepared the human rights background paper which will form part of the basis for discussion at the meeting.
