This month Professor Sofia Gruskin concluded her work supporting the University of Albany on a project using health and legal principles to introduce internationally recognized legal rights as relevant to health in Iran.
Given the range of health and development challenges Iran currently faces, this USAID-funded project seeks to increase the capacity of current and future lawyers to enable them to incorporate international standards as well as human rights thinking and practice in their efforts.
Professor Gruskin has served as the quality control on the information, standards and materials to be used in this process. The program will launch in a few months.
