Using international human rights, norms and standards to strengthen Vietnam’s legal framework on population

The Program on Global Health & Human Rights and United Nations Population Fund completed a policy paper focused on using international human rights norms to strengthen Vietnam’s legal framework on population. “Using International Human Rights Norms and Standards to Strengthen Vietnam’s Legal Framework on Population,” written by Professor Sofia Gruskin and post-doctoral fellow Ian Henry, aims to help the Vietnamese government ensure any changes to the current population law adequately incorporate key human rights issues in conformity with the legal system and ratified international treaties.
