11/14/17 – Narrative Justice: Promoting Responsible Storytelling in Global Health

In this talk Lisa Russell, an Emmy-winning filmmaker, led a workshop and discussion of her GE Healthcare executive-produced film, “Heroines of Health,” in the context of responsible global health storytelling. The documentary follows three women working to bring better health to their communities.

Russell produces films and creative campaigns for United Nations agencies and corporations to increase public engagement and civic participation around humanitarian issues. Her work lies at the intersection of arts and culture, social justice and global development.
