New online certificate course explores drones’ role in global health

A new online certificate course offered through the USC Institute for Global Health June 4-24 will explore the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones) in public health, emergency response and related fields.

Developed and taught by Shubha Kumar, PhD, assistant professor of Population and Public Health Sciences and director of the USC Master of Public Health online program, in collaboration with Helena Samsioe, CEO and founder of drone service company Globhe, the course is structured as an introduction to government officials, agencies, organizations and companies interested in utilizing drones to improve their operations. Register by May 31.
