High-Level Working Group on the Health and Human Rights of Women, Children, and Adolescents

In 2016 Professor Sofia Gruskin, director of the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health, was appointed one of five technical advisors to the High-Level Working Group on the Health and Human Rights of Women, Children and Adolescents. Consisting of global experts from civil society, academia, the health community, parliaments and executive government, the group released a report which called urgently for the implementation of  human rights-related measures and provides evidence of the health and social benefits that societies reap, in particular women, children and adolescents, when human rights are systematically taken into account.
