Using Data to Advance the Science of Health Disparities: A Global, Multi-Level Perspective

February 23, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

Join the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health for a lecture featuring Dr. Rumi Chunara, an assistant professor at New York University in computer science and biostatistics/epidemiology, and leader of the Chunara Lab, which aims to develop computational and statistical approaches for acquiring, integrating and using data to improve population-level public health.

Equalizing health disparities can avert more deaths than the number of lives saved by medical advances alone in the same time frame. In this lecture, Dr. Chunara will share how data can be used to advance the science of health disparities, from who uses data and what types of data and knowledge are considered, to building data science models and why they are built.

This free, public event will be held online; webinar details will be emailed to all registered attendees.
