USC IIGH addresses climate change and its impacts on human rights through global collaboration - The USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health (IIGH) has always included in its work a focus on sustainable development and climate change, including addressing the economic, social and political factors that fuel the relationships between power and poverty.
Removing legal and structural barriers to ending AIDS by 2030: Lessons from the Global Commission on HIV and the Law - On June 21, 2021, USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health (USC IIGH) Director Sofia Gruskin and Director of Research Laura Ferguson presented their evaluation on the Global Commission on HIV and the Law, published with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as part of a larger event to determine strategies to remove legal and structural barriers to end AIDS by 2030.
World Association for Sexual Health 2019 Conference - In October 2019, Sofia Gruskin, Director of the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health, traveled to Mexico City with Avery Everhart, a doctoral student affiliated with IIGH and the USC Spatial Sciences Institute, to participate in the annual meeting of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS)
