The 2014 Global Health Awareness Week at USC organized a series events around the theme “To Nutrition and Beyond. The week featured engaging lectures, networking opportunities, movie screenings, lunch events and concluded with the 2012 World Health Day LA.

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Mon., Tues., Thurs. & Fri. | HSC Harry and Celeste Pappas Quad — A lunchtime event highlighting different countries and the global burden of malnutrition.

World Day of Social Justice
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | USC Tommy Trojan — GlobeMed at USC hosted games, art and free shirts to celebrate World Day of Social Justice and educate students about the cycle of poverty and health.

7:00 p.m. | USC Davidson Conference Center, Gold Room — A discussion on aging featured wellness expert Dr. James La Valle and gerontology professor Dr. Freddi Segal-Gida.
Saturday, April 7
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Los Angeles Expo Center, Soboroff Sports Field —Free health screenings, activities, entertainment and an Olympics torch walk promoted healthy lifestyles for the LA community.
