Rights-Oriented Research and Education for Sexual and Reproductive Health

The Rights-Oriented Research and Education for Sexual and Reproductive Health Network was initiated by a core group of 12 individuals from the Global South and North, with a mission to promote research and education on sexual and reproductive health that engages human rights and gender equality concepts and methods. Professor Sofia Gruskin co-chairs the with her collaborator in India, TK Sundari Ravindran from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. Professor Laura Ferguson is one of the core members. RORE has an explicit focus on generating transformative and robust evidence for policies and programmes to ensure that future generations have the capacity to take this work forward. It is currently the only international network of SRHR researchers and advocates focused on a gender and rights oriented approach to research and training in sexual and reproductive health.
